This tour starts at the John Frost Bridge; the legendary ‘bridge too far’. In 1944, during Operation Market Garden, the allied forces tried to conquer this bridge on the Nazis. However, the German force majeure was too great. The bridge was recaptured. The Battle of Arnhem was lost. Operation Market Garden failed. On this four-hour tour, your guide takes you on a journey to the heritage sites of the Battle of Arnhem and reveals the moving stories behind them.

THIS TOUR INCLUDES:
  • An expert private guide
  • The heritage sites in and around Arnhem
  • Airborne Museum at Villa Hartenstein (Oosterbeek): the former headquarters of the 1st British Airborne Division
  • Airborne Cemetery in Oosterbeek where the British, Polish, and Canadian soldiers are buried who died in the Battle of Arnhem.
