Western Islands and NDSM Wharf

The walk starts with a visit to the Western Islands: Bickerseiland, Realeneiland and Prinseneiland. This village in the city has a rich history of trade, shipping and industry. But it is also home to artists and entrepreneurs. History alternates with modern architecture, gardens and workshops. The tour continues with a ferry ride to the north, where former working-class neighbourhoods, industrial estates and the street art of the NDSM wharf characterize this trendy and innovative part of Amsterdam.
